About Us:

The R.O.Y. (Recovering Oregon Youth) Project is a vocational training center to assist our lower-functioning youth who require additional employment-readiness skills before they can successfully transition into a volunteer or paid position. The youth participating in the project lack social skills and work experience and need a supportive environment to develop basic employment skills needed for the workplace. They produce “soup in a tube” from recipes that they have created.

The program’s most unique innovation is that the “student-managers” participate in running every aspect of the business. The “student-managers” design, develop, and create products; make marketing decisions; review financials; and run the daily business.
